What GuessWhiz is
GuessWhiz is a free collection of daily guessing games. Every game hides one answer, gives you a handful of clues and six tries to work it out. A new puzzle appears once a day — the same puzzle for everyone — and there is no sign-up, no download and nothing to pay.
The collection started with Guess the Footballer, a daily football player guessing game. More games will follow the same idea: one answer, a few clues, a quick daily ritual you can finish in a couple of minutes.
How the daily puzzles work
- One puzzle a day. A new puzzle goes live at midnight UTC for every player in the world.
- Six tries, one hint. Each guess is scored against the hidden answer, so every try narrows the field. A hint is available if you are stuck, but it costs one guess.
- Nothing is missable. Every puzzle stands alone. Play every morning or once a week — you will not fall behind.
- Your streak stays with you. Progress and streaks are stored in your own browser, not in an account on our server.
Who makes it
GuessWhiz is built and maintained by an independent developer. It is not a media company, a betting site or a football club — just a small puzzle site made for people who enjoy a short daily challenge. The site is self-funded and free to play.
How the puzzles are made
Every clue is based on public facts: nationality, position, birth year and the clubs a player represented. There are no photos and no videos — the game is text and logic only. We check the data before a puzzle goes live, but football records can change or contain errors. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we will correct it.
Languages
GuessWhiz is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Each language has its own game page and its own archive of past puzzles; you can switch language from the footer of any page.
Independence and trademarks
GuessWhiz is an independent fan project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any football club, league, federation, player or game publisher. Club names, competition names and player names are used only as factual clues, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
